This year I took my camera along to the Saturday at The Vicars Picnic Festival in Yalding. There were a fair few bands playing on multiple stages finishing off with great sets by Cast and finally the Fun Lovin’ Criminals brought the days events to a climax.
I pretty much had unlimited access as I had played on the ‘local and live’ stage earlier in the day so had a good time wandering about taking photographs of the festival goers and the bands but the highlight of my day was probably going up in the lighting tower to shoot the crowd when the main act started. The lighting man was very helpful and whenever I needed a little more light, he just pressed the button and boom! there it was.
