I’ll be the first to admit that I didn’t know quite what to expect at our latest stop on this whirlwind tour of Yorkshire.
Brimham rocks is a weird place, basically it looks like some giant geologists just spent a bit of time mucking about making weird shaped rocks. It’s like all the fun tors you’ve ever clambered up to, all collected together in one place. I would imagine that it gets pretty packed in the summer season but as it was, there were justa scattering of people and some rock climbers (no they’re not people!)
The challenge was framing the rocks to exclude odd trees and people and I had a fun couple of hours simply wandering around and sending Harriet off to climb random rocks and taking photos.
It being a national trust property, it might be a bit tricky to access out of hours, but it could be a great p[lace to shoot some astro – maybe I’ll try it some day.
