We spent a couple of days at Wast Water and were lucky enough to witness two sunsets, both of which were beautiful but with different conditions. The first night was very windy. Windy enough to create good sized waves that were breaking on the rocks and blowing spray up on to the camera lens. The second evening was a much calmer affair giving some really nice reflections on the surface of the lake.
The one thing that was really quite breathtaking over both evenings was the golden light that was cast over the hillsides. It reflected right across the lake and really made a great contrast against the blue skies.
