I’ve wanted to a classic summer image of a field of sunflowers ever since I realised that such a thing could exist. This year we researched where to find some locally and there weren’t too many options so I opted to try out a field in north Kent.
It appears that we had missed the optimum flower time by maybe a week as some of the heads had started to wither but there was still enough around for a pleasant enough shot although it was difficult to compose as the sunflowers were only found in a strip down the side of a field. It would be nice to find a field full of sunflowers for next year, I think I will have to dig a little deeper into the sunflower scene!
