We had often mentioned visiting but never actually made the drive, so as the sun was blazing, we headed off to Fletching near Uckfield to see what Sheffield Park Gardens had to offer, we weren’t disappointed.
Set around four main ponds and a lake, Sheffield Park Gardens was certainly in full-on glorious mode at the weekend. The multicoloured trees were reflecting splendidly in the terraced ponds and even though it was absolutely rammed with visitors, it didn’t actually feel too packed and there were still plenty of vistas to enjoy that didn’t feel overly populated.
I certainly want to revisit Sheffield Park and think that the autumn will be the perfect time to do so. I’ll be back when the trees are golden!
