Once again we headed north and set out into the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Not far from Settle is a small wooded area that hides Scaleber Force. I pulled on my wellies and headed down into the gorge with my camera. The falls aren’t particularly large but they do step down a few times in a very attractive manner and are considered to be amongst the best in the Dales – I don’t disagree, although, they are a bit tricky to shoot.
I think if maybe we had visited in a month or so’s time when the foliage would be fully out, the valley would look a little more lush but then I imagine the falls would be full of people. On the day we visited in late April on a gloomy day, we met five other photographers – this is not a secret spot!
