Lockdown has meant that travelling out with my camera is not allowed. So, in a bid to entertain myself in a photographic fashion, I have been trying to perfect the rather technical delight of freezing water droplets and catching their reflections in a pool of water. Just like every other photographer that is currently stuck indoors.
You can get specialised dropper and trigger devices to do this in a more predictable, controlled and creative way but I’ve just been using the slightly more ‘Heath Robinson’ method of simply hanging up a bag of water and poking a hole in it so that it drips – it works!
It took me a few goes to get the method and technical details correct but using what I’ve learned in order to create these, I hope to go a little further in future.
