The Maid of Stone festival has finally happened at Moat Park in Maidstone. It was its first year and put on a pretty good show all considered. It wasn’t the largest of festivals – only around 4000 people but it spanned three days with three stages and a good spread of rock and blues bands.
I didn’t attend the Friday (as we purchased the wrong tickets) but the rain put a bit of a damper on Saturday’s proceedings but the sun came out on Sunday and there seemed to be quite a few more people at the event, I’m not sure if this was due to the weather or the line-up!
