A spent an afternoon wandering around London taking images. I’d started my day at The British Museum which I had never before visited and which I enjoyed enough that I promised myself that I would come back for a proper visit at some point in the summer. I took this image of the Great Court which I had seen on social media before and was very happy to grab my own version however I do hope to shoot it again in the summer when the sunlight is directly overhead and the shadow patterns cast by that fantastic roof reach the floor.
As the day wore on I headed east towards docklands. Shooting the Millennium Dome was a simple enough task but I now consider it a shot that might look its best at dawn with a colourful or at least interesting sky behind. I only had a few minutes before the full ‘wolf’ moon appeared from behind the cloud bank that you can see in this image which was bright enough to give light flares on my images!
I took a few more images from around the South Quay are and headed home with another SD card full of potential!
