The sun was beating down so we set of for a walk around Dungeness, well to be honest we fancied a meal at the Fish Shack – I had a mackerel and chorizo flatbread which was awesome. The sun was so bright that I was unable to open the lens right up for most of these shots but that’s a small price to pay for such a lovely day.

I thought I’d try and take a picture showing that Dungeness isn’t just the photographers play park that it often appears to be in photographs, it’s actually a fairly cluttered messy place – but derelict boats and rusted old machinery are just so much fun to take pictures of.

All that Dungeness has to offer – derelict boats, light houses, nuclear power plants and junk but it’s still very cool to visit

We heard a rumour that there was potentially a Tawny Pippet in the area whatever that is meant to be – lots of birders seemed to be quite excited about the prospect of catching a glimpse of one though.
