So, this year I was once again tasked by a certain Mr Ross, to come up with the graphic theme for Jam at The Farm, A few posters and banners were created along with fliers, laminates, signs and assorted social media images. A fun little project indeed. After all the work and the usual last minute rushes, the big day finally arrived and I took my camera along to try and capture some of the acts, prize winners and general shenanigans that might ensue.
The headline act was Bernie Tormé who I think I made feel suitably old by telling him that the track ‘New Orleans’ by Gillan (a band he was in at the time) was the very first single that I bought with my own money, way back in 1981.
There were lots of great local bands playing on the day too along with a bar, food and industry stands – a big improvement on last years valiant effort.
All proceeds – a hefty amount indeed this year – was donated to the Nordoff Robbins charity and everyone went home at the end of the day with a warm fuzzy feeling inside – helped by the fact that the weather was kind too.
