We set off to visit Herne Bay in North Kent as the light was interesting but as we ate lunch on the seafront, it became evident that a sunset was not likely.
Instead, some crazy clouds started to gather and the light faded. Eventually the storm started but unfortunately, I was unprepared to capture the lightning that filled the sky for the next couple of hours and I just got a lot of poorly lit images with water droplets in the frame. The rain was so heavy that I was unable to keep the lens clear of droplets for long enough to make an exposure so I returned home with just a few usable images but very wet clothes.
Next time, I will be prepared!
