On Monday, rather than sit my butt on the sofa and watch telly, I decided to head into London to take a few pics and have a beer with a gaggle of other like-minded photographers.
Each day, at some point, I down tools, make myself a coffee and watch a video or two on YouTube. This is usually about some facet of photography and is very often by a travel photographer called Brendan van Son who has been travelling the globe consistently for the last few years and posts a vlog each day (ish) where he talks about where he is and takes a pic or two – nice and chilled.
Well, it just so happened that Brendan was passing through the UK (between trips to the Faroe Islands and Georgia) and had arranged a meet up on the banks of the Thames.
After battling with the UK’s train system, I eventually met up with 20 other photographers and we took a few pics, chatted about photography type stuff and then went for a bevvy – and chatted about more camera stuff again.
All in all, a very pleasant evening was had and I found some new people to stalk on Instagram!
